On June 11th, Big Hit Music, the agency of BTS, revealed through the fan community platform Weverse that Jin is nearing the end of his military service and will be discharged soon.
“They reiterated, “It is important to note that the day of Jin’s discharge is reserved for military personnel only. There are no special events planned for that day. In order to avoid any potential issues caused by overcrowding, we strongly advise fans to refrain from visiting the site.”
The statement ended with a request to send warm regards and encouragement from the heart. The unwavering love and support for Jin is greatly appreciated and the company will continue to dedicate their efforts towards supporting their artists.
After enlisting on December 13th, 2022 at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, Jin served as an assistant instructor at the recruit training center. He is scheduled to be officially discharged on June 12th. Upon his discharge, Jin plans to participate in the “2024 Festa” event on June 13th at the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul, coinciding with BTS’s 11th debut anniversary.
