On the first day of the month, RM connected with his fans through the Weverse community, humorously reflecting on his age. He stated, “I don’t know how I’ve already turned 32 in Korean age. Seeing myself insist stubbornly, ‘I’m 30 in international age, ’ I realize, ‘Ah, I’m becoming an uncle now.’”

During his update, RM also provided insights into his military journey, proudly sharing his recent promotion: “I, Kim Nam-joon, have finally become a sergeant.” He acknowledged the ongoing service of other BTS members, specifically V, Jimin, and Jungkook, noting that “they’ve all been promoted early, so all four of us are likely sergeants now.”
Expressing his feelings about military life, he mentioned, “I feel proud, but they say military life is just beginning. Still, I’m so happy that the next rank is civilian.” RM reminisced about his early military days, recounting how training instructors and fellow soldiers often pondered aloud whether “2025 will ever come” and remarked, “Even if you die, 2025 will never come.” Reflecting further, he said, “Strangely, though, time does pass. It feels like more than two years have gone by.”
Looking back at the year 2024, RM shared, “It was an overwhelming year in many ways. Whether good or bad, I think it will stay in my memory for a long time.” He voiced mixed emotions regarding the discharge of two members, Jin and J-Hope, stating, “Seeing them cheer us on makes me feel both envious and relieved. Being civilians is the best.”
He elaborated on his aspirations for the future, saying, “When I return to being civilian Kim Nam-joon, there’s so much I want to share. Even topics that are hard to discuss now. I believe there will come a time when I can express them in my own way. I often think about this when I can’t sleep and wander through the night.”
In closing his message, RM reassured fans with a glimpse into his daily life: “As always, I’m exercising here, practicing instruments, and on weekends, I listen to music, watch movies, study, and prepare for my return. I hope you all stay healthy.” He comforted them further, stating, “I’m getting by somehow, so please don’t worry too much.”
Currently, the BTS members are serving in the military, with the exception of Jin and J-Hope, who were discharged last year. Suga is scheduled to complete his service as a social service agent on June 21, while RM and V are set for discharge on June 10, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11.
