On July 10, 2025, it was revealed by Netflix that prominent South Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok has been cast in the pivotal role of Sung Jinwoo. Woo-seok has gained recognition for his performances in films such as 20th Century Girl and Lovely Runner, earning him the moniker “만찢남, ” which translates to “straight out of a manhwa (comic).”

The series is co-directed by Lee Hae-jun and Kim Byung-seo, veteran filmmakers known for their outstanding works in Ashfall, Castaway on the Moon, and Cold Eyes. Production is overseen by Kakao Entertainment and Sanai Pictures, with a state-of-the-art global VFX team poised to enrich the series with visually stunning representations of dungeons, formidable monsters, and thrilling action sequences.
