The latest season of Fortnite, themed around The Simpsons, introduces an exciting new feature known as Sidekicks. These charming companions not only provide loyal support but also come packed with various interactions to enhance your gameplay.
For players looking to enhance their personal style in-game, Sidekicks offer a fresh way to customize your experience. If you’re unsure about how to unlock these adorable sidekicks since they are relatively new, we’ve compiled detailed information on every available Sidekick and the methods to obtain them in Fortnite.
Unlocking Sidekicks in Fortnite

Currently, there are three main methods to obtain Sidekicks in Fortnite; however, additional options may emerge with future updates. As of now, the third method allows you to receive a Sidekick for free, but only if you already possess the corresponding Back Bling for one specific Sidekick.
The inaugural Sidekick introduced is the delightful Peels, a banana dog obtainable through the battle pass for this season. Additionally, Bonesy, the dog originally released as a Back Bling, is available for free if you have that Back Bling; otherwise, you can purchase Bonesy from the shop. The remaining Sidekicks are exclusively available for purchase in the shop, requiring a V-Bucks investment to unlock them.
While currently there are limited avenues to unlock Sidekicks, it’s conceivable that future updates will introduce new methods, including special events or quests. As this feature is still in its infancy, we’ll be sure to keep you informed on any new ways to recruit them.
List of Available Sidekicks in Fortnite
As of November 11, 2025, players can unlock seven unique Sidekicks in Fortnite:
| Name | Image | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Peels | Available through the purchase of The Simpsons season battle pass; may later appear in the shop after eight months. | |
| Flopsticks | Purchasable from the shop for 1, 500 V-Bucks. | |
| Lil’ Raptor | Purchasable from the shop for 1, 200 V-Bucks. | |
| Cuddle Team Jr. | Purchasable from the shop for 1, 500 V-Bucks. | |
| Doggo Jr. | Purchasable from the shop for 1, 500 V-Bucks. | |
| Bonesy | Available for 1, 200 V-Bucks, or for free if you have the Bonesy Back Bling from Chapter One, Season Six battle pass. | |

Once you obtain a Sidekick, you can customize its appearance. This customization can only be done once – you’ll select features like fur color and eye color that will be locked in. However, you can adjust cosmetic items such as hats or shirts at any time. If you wish to alter the fundamental appearance of another Sidekick, you’ll need to purchase that Sidekick again.

The future promises more Sidekicks on the horizon, including a teased cat Sidekick as mentioned in the official blog post. Given the pattern established with Bonesy, other Back Bling pets could also be reintroduced as Sidekicks, potentially providing more free options for players. We’ll update this guide as new Sidekicks become available.
Now that you have a friendly new companion chasing your back, it’s time to dive into various challenges across the island. If you need guidance, try searching for Hidden Gags, interacting with characters scattered throughout the world, exploring The Simpsons’ residence, or smashing objects at Krusty Burger and Lard Lad.
