As we approach the 2025 esports season for Valorant, Riot Games has unveiled the comprehensive schedule for the VCT year, detailing all upcoming events and their respective dates.

Given the rapid international expansion of the VCT, it can be quite a challenge to keep track of the multitude of events. However, we have compiled all the essential information to keep you updated.

While each region adheres to a similar tournament qualification structure, the start dates for domestic tournaments may vary slightly, ensuring a diverse competitive landscape.

Kickoff Tournaments

The year launches with a series of Kickoff Tournaments across various regions. These tournaments determine the teams that advance to Masters Bangkok and offer guaranteed byes to Round 2 for the top four teams from the previous year’s rankings. Notably, each region will utilize a double-elimination bracket format.

Here are the initial kickoff dates for each region:

VCT China: January 11, 2025
VCT EMEA: January 15, 2025
VCT Americas: January 16, 2025
VCT Pacific: January 18, 2025

All Kickoff Tournaments are scheduled to conclude by February 7, 2025.

Valorant Masters: Bangkok

Valorant Masters in Bangkok is set to host the top two teams from each league, culminating in a competitive eight-team event. The initial rounds will follow a Swiss format, subsequently leading the top four teams into a double-elimination bracket.

This highly anticipated tournament will take place from February 20 to March 2, 2025.

VCT Stage 1 Overview

Although the specific start and end dates for VCT Stage 1 are yet to be confirmed for each region, the anticipated timeframe is from March 22 to April 25, 2025. Each region is categorized into two groups of six, which will rotate between Stage 1 and Stage 2, keeping the competition dynamic.

Playoffs for VCT Stage 1

The playoffs for Stage 1 will feature the top eight teams competing within a double-elimination bracket, commencing on May 3 and concluding by May 16.

Valorant Masters: Toronto

The Master Tournament in Toronto will showcase the top three teams from each Stage 1 playoff series, resulting in a total of 12 teams. The competition will kick off with an opening Swiss stage, where the leading team from each region will receive a bye into the ensuing double-elimination Knockout bracket.

This exciting event is set to occur from June 7 to June 22, 2025.

VCT Stage 2 Overview

VCT Stage 2 will mirror the structure of Stage 1 but will unfold later in the year, running from July 12 to August 15, 2025.

Playoffs for VCT Stage 2

While Team qualification for Stage 2 playoffs remains consistent with Stage 1, the stakes are heightened. The top two teams from these playoffs will secure guaranteed entry into the Valorant Champions in Paris, with the remaining slots determined by accumulated Championship Points.

This format allows for surprising last-minute comebacks; even a team that struggles early in the season could qualify for the prestigious event by excelling in the Stage 2 playoffs. Expect this to be a thrilling and pivotal tournament, taking place from August 16 to August 29, 2025.

Valorant Champions 2025

The grand finale of the 2025 season will be the Valorant Champions, hosted in Paris, where 16 elite teams will compete for supremacy. The selection process includes the top two teams from each region, with additional slots filled based on Championship Points.

Championship Points are accumulated through performance across the season, enabling teams who may falter in one stage but shine in others to secure a place in this ultimate showdown. The Valorant Champions 2025 will occur from September 12 to October 5, 2025.
