During a web interview, Daesung was asked a variety of questions regarding his career as a BIGBANG member. Is there any talk of a potential music release in the near future?
The eighth episode of “ZIP Daesung”was released on May 24, featuring the K-pop idol as the host. It was uploaded on the official YouTube channel and titled “Coming Out of the Hotel (in Osaka)”.
On this day, he announced a Q&A session to celebrate reaching over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. The production team gathered questions from fans, many of which were focused on BIGBANG.
Greatly, the PD staff inquired:
“What happened to BIGBANG?”
Daesung responded:
“First of all, this is what happened. Well, wouldn’t that happen again? Someday. I can’t really say exactly what. I’m a bit cautious as well. I’m saying this because what I said doesn’t represent the other BIGBANG members. This is really my personal opinion.
However, for now, if we work hard in the field where we can each do, I think there will be a stage where we can work together again in the not-too-distant future.”
“So, can we look forward to BIGBANG’s comeback?”
Nevertheless, Daesung responded with a non-specific reply, stating:
“To be honest, even I don’t know what will happen. I’m not sure if the members were also cautious about that aspect, but I think this is not the time to talk directly about it.
However, it’s not a situation where we are waiting for the time to just pass by. It’s not like we aren’t talking about our future at all.”
Despite not having an immediate comeback in their plans, the members of BIGBANG maintain a strong bond of friendship. The male idol reassured fans that they still communicate through a KaKaoTalk group chat, providing feedback and support to each other’s activities.
In addition, he hinted at the potential for G-Dragon to make an appearance as a guest on the same show, stating:
“Jiyong hyung saw ‘ZIP Daesung’ and said it was fun. I called him then. He fully understood the outline of ‘ZIP Daesung and said that it is a beautiful program where guests could comfortably accommodate anything without any uncomfortable content. So he said, ‘Let’s see when the time comes.’”
Finally, when questioned about the speculated individual performance that BIGBANG is rumored to host, Daesung brushed it off and responded:
“I can’t really give you an answer to that, because we haven’t talked about anything like that. But we won’t be gone forever. Although, I don’t know when that will happen. In fact, not even the members know. ‘When will that happen?’”
