The Destiny 2 community has been highly pleased with the recent Into the Light update, as it has revitalized the game in preparation for The Final Shape. One particular player has demonstrated exceptional mastery of the new Onslaught feature, contributing significantly to the positive reception.
The new activity, Onslaught, requires players to defend an ADU from waves of enemies and also protect up to three Guardians. The challenge consists of 50 waves in total, with the final stages posing a significant difficulty.
Just like other activities in Destiny 2, there are two difficulty levels in Onslaught – Normal and Legend. The Legend difficulty can be challenging even for a full fireteam. However, one player has recently surpassed this difficulty and completed it without the help of a squad.
Xeneris, a Destiny player, took to Twitter to announce their impressive achievement of completing all 50 waves of Onslaught on Legend difficulty, completely solo. This challenging feat requires a delicate balance of add clear, high-damage output, and choke point management, making it even more impressive without the support of two or three players.
The entire run lasted over 90 minutes, during which Xeneris managed to achieve an impressive 1676 kills. Furthermore, their score of almost 30,000 is expected to hold as a record in the activity for the foreseeable future.
The Hunter completed the run using Void Shadowshot Deadfall, with a loadout consisting of Lucky Pants, Adept Warden’s Law, Indebted Kindness, and the trusty Gjallarhorn.
The Destiny API further verifies that, as of this writing, Xeneris remains the sole player to achieve this milestone, highlighting the immense challenge it presents.
