Completing Vaults and Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4 is a good way to earn XP in the Season of Constructs. However, many players are unhappy with the rewards from the final Vaults room.
In Diablo 4, you gain XP every time you kill a monster, regardless of what activity you participate in. This is why it is easier to level up in activities where the enemy density is high.
In the Blending Season, the Vaults are a perfect example of this type of zone. Every time you enter a Vault, you will find that it is infested with many enemies. However, players have discovered that you do not gain XP from killing monsters in the final Vaults room in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 players disappointed by lack of XP in the final Vaults room of Season 3
As pointed out by u/Zrocker04 on Reddit, the final Vault room in Diablo 4 contains a lot of enemies. However, killing these monsters does not grant XP at all.
In response to this post, one player said: “It should never be about avoiding monsters rather than killing them.”Others said they made sure to kill every enemy in the Vaults, but stopped doing so after getting very little or no loot or XP.
One player even considered it “criminal” . Indeed, not receiving loot or XP in these sections of Diablo 4 is unthinkable. He added: “It’s not just these rooms either. All intermediate rooms in Dungeons are the same. No XP and often no loot.”
Another player responded to the comment above saying. “Even the ones that give XP, they give way less than you would get from killing the same monsters in the open world, which is stupid.”
While a few players thought it was a bug, one fan gave another explanation. He claimed that the developers disabled monster XP gain because it could be exploited. He added: “Yes, it’s exploitable, which blows my mind that instead of removing it completely, they decided to remove all XP and loot.»
That said, it’s unclear if Blizzard will address this issue in a subsequent Diablo 4 update. We will keep you informed if this is the case.
