Baldur’s Gate 3 fans were impressed by Larian’s teaser of a new kiss scene with Shadowheart coming to the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 lets you play the game almost any way you want. Whether as a noble Paladin or wise Archmage, the game essentially lets you choose your path through the multi-act story. This is easily one of the game’s greatest strengths and one of the reasons players fell in love with it when it released in 2023.
Of course, choosing how you want to play also involves choosing which companion you might want to have fun with. Baldur’s Gate 3 players have already expressed their adoration for the game’s colorful cast, with characters such as Astarion, Karlach, and Shadowheart striking a chord with players.
So it’s no surprise that players were thrilled to see God’s favorite princess, Shadowheart, receive a new kiss scene.

Players were taken aback by how perfect Shadowheart’s new kiss scene with Lae’Zel was. Shadowheart said mischievously, “I guess you deserved it”before sneaking around a very confused Lae’Zel, targeting his prey. Before long, the two’s lips met and fans were ecstatic.
“This is so over the top, lol. Shadowheart being too dramatic,” one player laughed.
“Lol they didn’t hold back, I love how it’s so much too much at first,” another agreed.
Despite the general adoration for the kiss, some fans disapproved, arguing that the display of affection seemed “weird and stupid.”
It’s likely that the developers have more cute scenes in the works for players, with Larian still updating Baldur’s Gate 3 and bringing players back to the Forgotten Realms.
