Diablo 4’s meta is changed with each new patch, but players say that using broken builds is the only way to fully enjoy the game.
Diablo 4 is one of the most talked about ARPGs recently, and players have been debating Season 3 since its release. With a ton of new content like Vaults and Seneschal Companions, players have plenty to do. But some aren’t ready for what the endgame update has to offer.
However, some players seem to think that broken builds are the only reason to have fun right now in Diablo 4. This is why many players are considering creating a new character with powerful builds for the end of the game.
Diablo 4 players think broken builds make the game more fun
On Reddit, user u/Rionaks started the following discussion: “Not playing a broken/meta build makes the game less fun.”Also, he said “consider this season as over” .
Before Season 2, the Bonespear Necromancer was considered the strongest build in the game. Its DPS was the highest among all classes. However, since Season 2, certain Barbarian builds have completely taken over as the new Diablo 4 meta.

Many players agreed with him. They are “not motivated” to try Season 3 endgame activities with their non-meta build.
“Weak characters suck and are boring. The meta is just as bad, but it’s more enjoyable,” the poster also argued. Other players added: “Game/loot seems to be balanced for broken builds.”Some even claimed that “most builds wouldn’t be so bad if barbarians weren’t so overpowered.”
With each new patch, the game’s meta seems to change. Remember that Blizzard is known for its daring class buffs and nerfs. With Barbarians being so powerful right now, don’t be surprised to notice some nerfs to this class in future Diablo 4 patches.
