Korean YouTuber Kimpro achieved remarkable success in 2025, securing the title of the most-viewed YouTube channel globally, surpassing even the well-known MrBeast. But what exactly is Kimpro, and how did it rise to such prominence?
Founded in 2017, the Kimpro channel is managed by two cousins, Kim Dong-jun and Yu Baek-hap. To date, they have produced an impressive 3, 752 videos that have collectively garnered over 117 billion views, with a significant portion of this content being Shorts. Their standout Short reached an astounding 830 million views.
Initially established by former performance planner Kim Dong-jun, Kimpro rapidly gained attention through engaging mukbang and skit videos. In March 2023, the team expanded significantly when Yu Ha-young and Jeong Hee-rim joined, forming what is now known as ‘OK TEAM.’ This collaboration established a structured approach to content creation, with clear divisions among planning, filming, on-screen performance, and editing—ensuring a cohesive, high-quality output for the Kimpro channel.
