A current world champion has advised Jake Paul to cease boxing as he prepares for his upcoming match with Mike Tyson in July.
Ever since entering the realm of boxing and combat sports, Jake Paul has faced a great deal of disapproval – but also gained considerable backing – from both present-day boxers and icons of the sport.
As the ‘Problem Child’ prepares to face off against ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson in July, there has been an even greater increase in anticipation. Contrary to previous claims, the 57-year-old and the young fighter will be competing under professional rules without headgear or heavier gloves, despite the significant age gap.
It is clear that Jake is confident in his ability to defeat the Heavyweight boxing legend, as he possesses an “iron chin”and can withstand any punches that Tyson throws at him.
However, despite this, he lacks the support of one of the current Heavyweight icons in boxing, Oleksandr Usyk.
The 37-year-old boxer, who is preparing for his upcoming fight against Tyson Fury to determine the undisputed Heavyweight champion, was interviewed by DAZN where he discussed various boxers from the past and present. During the conversation, Jake’s name was brought up.
Usyk quickly moved on from the word association game, advising Jake to “stop boxing”before proceeding to other names.
The Ukrainian fighter was questioned about his opinion on KSI, to which he referred to the British YouTube sensation as a mere “blogger”and nothing more.
Jake has not brought up Usyk when discussing potential fights with current champions like Canelo Alvarez and Tyson Fury. However, it is possible that this has now changed.
