The upcoming horror sequel is closely associated with the storyline from the second installment of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. Noteworthy voice artists, including Kellen Goff, Megan Fox, and MatPat, will be lending their talent to characters such as Toy Freddy, Toy Chica, and Toy Bonnie, respectively.
Returning to provide their expertise, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is once again responsible for the creation of the animatronics. Their practical designs were a standout feature of the original film, and the sequel promises to deliver even more with the addition of beloved characters like Mangle and The Puppet, also known as Marionette.
Innovative Challenges with Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Animatronics

In this sequel, the animatronics venture into the real world, presenting unique challenges. However, the most daunting task for the production team was ensuring that no spoilers leaked prior to the film’s release.
“The biggest challenge was keeping everything under wraps, ” expressed director Tammi.
She elaborated on the complexities involved, stating, “When you start bringing animatronics—and anything else—outside of our controlled filming environment, the risk of exposure becomes critical. We were particularly fearful of giving fans a glimpse of the film before its official release.”
Her concerns are rooted in a desire to maintain excitement for the audience. As Tammi noted, “We really hope that on December 5th, moviegoers will be able to experience a fresh narrative without having seen it all beforehand.”
“Our fan base is incredibly passionate, with enthusiasm circulating widely – it feels as if there are drone-like eyes everywhere, ” she added regarding the challenges of keeping production details concealed.“Physical concealment was a significant obstacle, but overall, I believe we’ve managed well. With just a few weeks until release, much of our intended surprises remain intact.”
While promoting the first Five Nights at Freddy’s film, Tammi had previously mentioned a frightening incident where the Foxy animatronic caught fire due to overheating servos. Thankfully, that situation was swiftly resolved without further issues.
When asked if similar incidents occurred during the sequel’s production, Tammi reassured that they successfully avoided any major malfunctions this time around.“This film features exponentially more animatronic stunts, ” she explained, emphasizing the technical complexities that required extensive collaboration with the stunt team.“It demanded much more rehearsals and problem-solving, but the experience was nothing short of remarkable.”

According to Tammi, the sequel is substantially scaled up in both ambition and complexity.“There was so much more to accomplish this time around, but the animatronics are amazing. I am truly eager for everyone to experience them.”
