Being a free-to-play game, XDefiant includes numerous micro-transactions, but below is a list of all the complimentary skins available, including the three Eruption skins that were recently announced with the launch of Season 1.
Following a successful launch, XDefiant will kick off Season 1 on July 2. In honor of this milestone, the developers have revealed three complimentary skins that will be available for a limited time.
Since XDefiant is a free-to-play game, the majority of its cosmetic items require micro-transactions, following the same model as Fortnite and Overwatch 2. Therefore, it is important not to overlook any limited-time free skins that may be offered.

Claiming Free Skins in XDefiant
Once you have obtained your free XDefiant skin from sources such as Twitch Drops, the PSN store, the Referral Program, or other means, you can use the weapon with the cosmetic in-game by following these steps:
- Begin using XDefiant by launching it.
- On the main screen, select Loadouts.
- Go to Custom Loadouts where you can build 10 unique loadouts. If you just want to check out a skin, it is recommended to edit a loadout that you don’t use primarily.
- Click on Edit and then select Skins located next to the Attachments menu.
- If you’ve claimed the free skin correctly, it should appear here.
- To add the skin to your weapon, simply click on it. Additionally, by clicking on the white enlarge icon, you can closely inspect the item.
You unlock new weapons and their attachments by increasing your level and completing challenges.
