After picking up the game just ten months ago, Twitch streamer Tyler1 is impressively advancing in his chess skills, leaving GothamChess in awe.
Despite only playing for less than a year, LoL streamer Tyler1 has already surpassed 99.5% of the world’s chess players in skill, and there’s no sign of him slowing down.
On May 6, 2024, Tyler1 achieved a rating of 1900 by defeating yet another opponent. This win brings him closer to earning the rank of Master, a remarkable accomplishment for any streamer, especially considering his less than a year of playing experience.
Despite his success, even GothamChess couldn’t resist chiming in on the streamer’s “insane”accomplishments.
“The chess content creator excitedly shared that Tyler1’s Elo rating has reached 1900, placing him in the top 0.5% worldwide. Accompanying this achievement was a chart showcasing the Twitch streamer’s progress. The creator couldn’t help but wonder, is this man even human?”

In March, the streamer reached an ELO of 1700, despite starting at a low rating of 199 just a few months earlier.
In April, the streamer faced one of his toughest opponents yet with a 2153 rating. Despite the challenge, he managed to secure a victory while playing as the white pieces. It was a surprising upset for everyone.
Despite playing while waiting in queue for LoL matches, his chess growth remains incredibly impressive, with the MOBA taking precedence over chess.
While it is uncertain when or if Tyler1 will reach his peak, his potential knows no bounds as he steadily rises in chess ELO, impressing even the most prominent chess players with his achievements.
