In the Destiny 2: The Final Shape campaign, players reach a crucial moment when they come across three missing Ghosts, beginning with the Convalescence: Rootbound mission. This guide will explain how to successfully complete Convalescence: Rootbound in Destiny 2.
Finding the Convalescence: Rootbound Ghost in Destiny 2
The first missing Ghost is indicated on the map south of the Landing area, but is not visible within the designated playable area. By setting the mission as your waypoint, you will be directed towards the necessary direction.
The Ghost can be found in the Forgotten Deep Lost Sector, which players have already traversed during the campaign. To obtain it, simply complete the Lost Sector by collecting green gusts of wind and breaking crystal shields until you reach the final boss chamber.
The boss room will be uninhabited when encountering the Ghost, so avoid picking up any green gusts of wind as it will trigger the boss. Upon entering the room, players will notice a massive tree next to a gust of wind, which is where the Ghost can be found.
The Ghost that has gone missing can be located to the right of the massive tree situated within the boss room of the Forgotten Deep. After finding it, players have the option to either return to the Lost City or engage in the boss battle and receive additional rewards by completing the Lost Sector.
How to Complete Convalescence: Rootbound in Destiny 2
The mission is ongoing, requiring players to return to the Lost City and converse with Ghost. This will lead to a conversation with Micah’s Conduit located downstairs.
Upon reaching the waypoint, you will descend down the stairs into an overgrown area where a Ghost will be floating, waiting to be activated. Activate the lost Ghost to trigger Micah’s Conduit to call you over.
To obtain the Someday shotgun and start the Convalescence: Underbrush mission to locate the second missing Ghost, simply interact with the machine in the adjacent room. This will initiate the necessary steps.
