While searching for Mutt in the Troskowitz area, you will encounter the shepherd Siegfried at Kopanina. He provides you with a unique ally—Ignatius, a sheep with an insatiable appetite for carrots. You will use Ignatius as bait to attract a pack of wolves that may be hiding Mutt.
It’s important to note that during this encounter, Ignatius faces a high risk of being harmed as the wolves chase after him. However, there are ways to protect him while you play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
How to Save Ignatius the Sheep
To effectively use Ignatius as bait, first ensure he’s happily munching on a carrot. Then, slip into the bushes and select the option to “Lurk on wolves.”Time will advance automatically for an hour. After this period, quickly return to where you left Ignatius to find the wolves approaching from the northeast.

It’s crucial to position yourself strategically between the wolves and Ignatius. This tactic will divert the wolves’ attention towards you, allowing Ignatius enough time to escape safely. No need to engage in combat with the wolves unless you choose to, but dispatching them can earn you reputation points and some groschen as a thank-you from Shepherd Siegfried.
If, however, Ignatius does fall victim to the wolves, you can salvage the situation by butchering him for meat, ensuring you have food for your journey ahead.
Killing the Wolf Pack
Engaging with the wolves requires a good defensive strategy. Wait for the green shield prompt to defend against attacks and then counter to deal damage. This method will be essential in your fight.

After inflicting enough damage on the wolves—two of them and one wild dog—they will start to retreat one by one. There’s no rush; they will return to the bait area eventually, giving you an opportunity to strike again.

Remember, your goal is to defeat all three attackers. A notification will confirm their elimination once you’ve successfully taken them down.

Once the threat is neutralized, return to Shepherd Siegfried and update him on your progress. For your efforts in slaying the wolf pack, he will reward you with 20 groschen and enhanced reputation points. Additionally, if you notify him that Ignatius escaped unharmed, you’ll gain further reputation.
Successfully eliminating the wolves and protecting Ignatius marks the ideal conclusion for this segment of the side quest. While saving Ignatius may not provide substantial rewards, sparing the sheep from harm fulfills your moral duty in the game’s narrative.
