Hoenn’s rare Bug-type Pokémon, Ningale, appears to be appearing for some players in Pokémon Go, and hopefully this signals the resurgence of the ever elusive Munja.
Most Pokémon Go fans know by now that some Pokémon are more elusive than others. While Legendaries are rare for obvious reasons, sometimes a Pokémon isn’t rare, or powerful, but just doesn’t show up very often..
This is the case of the modest Ningale, the Cicada Pokémon from the Hoenn region. However, it seems that several Pokémon Go players are reporting the surprise appearance of this creature, fueling hopes for Munja’s return.
Ningale suddenly appears in Pokémon Go Raids
In a Reddit post shared by GO_FRIEND_APP, the user shares data on the new Pokémon Go Raid pool, following recent live changes in easternmost parts of the world like New Zealand. The data suggests that Ningale is ready to make a surprise return to raiding.

Other Pokémon Go players in the comments seem delighted, with one person adding, “Oh great! Ningale is in the raids! It has been rare since becoming almost extinct. I need candy and a 3-star shiny.”
Meanwhile, checking online, it appears that players are already encountering this elusive creature in Raids, with a Pokémon Go player called @Natmon96 taking to X (Twitter) and sharing a post with the Pokémon.
The post says, “my mom just sent me this asking if this was new because she doesn’t know about it. were there Ningale announcements in raids because I didn’t know that was happening??? I don’t even have it.”
