How to Obtain a Sergeant’s Beret in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies

To obtain the Sergeant’s Beret in MW3 Zombies, players must complete missions in the third Dark Aether Rift. This new rift, located in the red Tier 3 zone, was added in the Season 3: Reloaded update and operates under the same guidelines as the previous rifts.

In order to summon the Dark Aether Rift, players are required to obtain and enhance four relics that must be presented at the designated altars within the swirling tornado. Here is the method for acquiring each unique relic:

• Giraffe Toy
• Imaginary Friend Drawing
• Laptop With Stickers
• Science Journal

After being placed, the rift will manifest and an elite Disciple must be vanquished in order to permanently unlock it. This will grant an item known as a Sigil, which must be placed at the base of the Dark Aether Rift to gain entry. Additional Sigils will be required for future attempts and can be obtained by fulfilling Tier 3 contracts.

You will only have a restricted amount of time to fulfill three contracts and extract with your earned rewards once you enter the Dark Aether Zone. The map above shows the designated locations, and each contract altar emits a bright beam of light that can be seen from afar, especially if you climb onto a rooftop.

The northern contract, known as Eliminate the Bounty, as well as the eastern contract, an Outlast mission, and the southern contract, an Escort mission, each have the potential to trigger a Reward Rift where players have a chance to obtain the Sergeant’s Beret as a one-time use item.

Crafting a Sergeant’s Beret in MW3 Zombies

The blueprint for the Sergeant’s Beret can be obtained by completing contracts in the more challenging version of the Dark Aether Rift. It is possible to unlock this schematic by completing the same contracts as mentioned above, with a chance for it to drop as a reward.

The main distinctions lie in the increased difficulty of the Dark Aether Rift, which now requires an Elder Sigil item obtained in the regular Dark Aether Rift, and a shorter time limit of 15 minutes for completing the three contracts and exfil. It is highly recommended to have a team of three to six players to combat the tougher foes and time constraints.
