ILLIT Unveils Their 3rd Mini Album “Bomb”at a Press Showcase
On June 16, at Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul, the emerging girl group ILLIT showcased their highly anticipated third mini album, titled “Bomb.”During the event, they performed their title track, “Do the Dance (빌려온 고양이), ”while opening up about their rigorous preparation for this release.
Vocal Training and Dedication
Member Minju garnered attention with her heartfelt remarks on the intense vocal training she underwent.“I practiced so much that I could taste blood in my throat, ”she revealed. Her commitment to improving her vocal abilities focused on mastering the fundamentals. Minju shared, “Our producer mentioned that my pitch control has significantly improved, which made me incredibly happy.”

Team Spirit and Identity
Fellow member Iroha echoed Minju’s sentiments by emphasizing the group’s camaraderie and passion.“We aimed to present ILLIT’s identity to the world. The choreography was quite challenging, yet we motivated each other and put in our best efforts, ” she said.
A New Thematic Direction
“Bomb”signifies a fresh thematic direction for ILLIT. Transitioning from the introspective narratives of their first two mini albums, this release focuses on exploration and growth in interpersonal relationships, marking a pivotal shift toward more interactive and emotionally resonant themes.

The Catchy Title Track
Their title song, “Do the Dance, ”embodies this invigorating energy while narrating the excitement of a first date. Amidst overwhelming thoughts, the protagonist boldly invites, “Let’s dance together, ” capturing ILLIT’s characteristic confident charm. The track is adorned with infectious hooks and dynamic beats, perfectly complementing the group’s vibrant concept.
The mini album became available on major streaming platforms at 6 PM (KST) on June 16.
