Much to the shock of many fans, Isshiki Otsutsuki made his appearance on Earth alongside Kaguya with the intention of harvesting the chakra tree. Unfortunately, Kaguya’s betrayal left him devastated, and in order to survive, he used Sukunahikona to take refuge within a human named Jigen. His introduction as the leader of Kara took place in chapter 35 of the Boruto series.

Isshiki came to the realization that his host, Jigen, was nearing death and began conducting experiments on human children in search of a suitable vessel. It was during this time that he came across Kawaki, a perfect candidate for his rebirth. He then proceeded to gather 14 other children who possessed the potential to become his vessel.

Isshiki commanded Amado, a Kara member, to implant Karma into all of the children to determine which one would survive. Only Kawaki and Code emerged as survivors, with the latter possessing an incomplete white Karma.

Kawaki was announced as Isshiki’s successor, in whom the Otsutsuki would be reincarnated.

Despite being transferred to a different facility, Kawaki managed to escape and was eventually found by the Hidden Leaf Village. He was taken in by the protagonist, causing Jigen to become even more determined to retrieve him. After several failed attempts, Jigen attempted to retrieve Kawaki himself.

Despite being confronted with Naruto’s Baryon Mode, he refused to be outclassed and gave it his all. However, he ultimately perished before he could transfer himself to Kawaki.

As an Otsutuki, Isshiki had an immense amount of chakra at his disposal. In addition, he was highly proficient in Time-Space Ninjutsu (comparable to the Rinnegan), Genjutsu, and Sealing Jutsu, but his primary skill was in his Doujutsu abilities.

His innate Doujutsu granted him the ability to use Sukunahikona, enabling him to shrink at his discretion and carry out any task he desired. In addition, he possessed the Byakugan but was unable to fully harness its powers.

Kaguya Otsutsuki was the first Otsutsuki to be officially introduced in the series, as Madara’s body was unable to contain the immense chakra from the chakra fruit.

Although she desired to conquer the entire world, she was ultimately defeated by the protagonist and Sasuke Uchiha. In addition, the story introduced Hagoromo and Hamura, who, with their combined power, were able to seal their mother Kaguya.

Following them, the most powerful Otsutsuki was Momoshiki who gained Kinshiki’s abilities and transformed into a divine being. He was defeated by Boruto Uzumaki with the help of the main character and Sasuke. Subsequently, Isshiki Uchiha emerged in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

Despite not causing as much destruction as other Otsutsuki clan members before him, Isshiki could still be deemed the most powerful Otsutsuki due to his ability to defeat the Seventh Hokage in his strongest form, the Baryon Mode, despite being weakened throughout his lifespan.

However, there was another Otsutsuki clan member, Shibai Otsutsuki, who surpassed even Isshiki and ascended to the realm of the Gods. He was repeatedly reborn through the power of Karma and consumed multiple chakra fruits.

Shibai is the most powerful Otsutsuki member in the Narutoverse, possessing all the abilities of individual characters in the Boruto series such as Eida’s Senringan, the Byakugan, and the Rinnegan. Despite not making an official appearance in the series, Shibai remains a formidable force.
