Netizens are stunned by a characteristic of IVE member Rei!
Ever since IVE returned with their song “HEYA”on April 29, 2024, the focus has been on the girl group’s members and their various activities. Among their busy schedule of creating new content, performing on music shows, and making appearances on variety shows, netizens have taken notice of Rei in particular.
On May 7, 2024, a well-known post titled “Rei: Surprisingly Tall”was uploaded to TheQoo, a popular online community forum in South Korea.
The post featured several photos of Rei with her IVE members. Despite standing among them, she does not appear noticeably tall. In fact, among the group of six, Rei is the fourth tallest, with Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin towering at 173cm, while Liz is around 171 to 172cm in height.
Despite being perceived as short due to her cute face and being surrounded by taller members in IVE, Rei’s true height becomes apparent when seen with people outside of the group.
The original poster shared additional photographs of Rei with others, illustrating her significant height advantage over them. It was later revealed that Rei’s height is 170cm, much taller than the average height for women in Korea, which ranges from 160-163cm. This undoubtedly makes her stand out in a crowd!

Despite her cute visuals, many were surprised by the idol’s height, noting that she appeared small in comparison. In fact, some even believed she was the shortest member of the group. Numerous netizens expressed their envy towards her tall stature.
While some may joke that the presence of members like Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin in IVE makes 170cm seem short, there are also those who hold the opposite view.
