Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 262: The Battle Begins
The events of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262 unfolded with both Yuta, posing as Satoru Gojo, and Ryomen Sukuna unleashing their Domain Expansions. As they watched, Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo observed Yuta successfully shrinking his barrier to the size of a basketball, similar to how Gojo had done against Sukuna previously. The story then shifted to the action taking place within the barrier.
The narrator elaborated on Gojo’s countermeasure, confirming that the barrier was strong enough to withstand the attacks of Malevolent Shrine for around three minutes. Yuta then reflected on his previous body switch training with Gojo and how it had improved his Barrier Techniques. He was confident that he could hold off the Domain for the entire three minutes, but also noted that this was taking Sukuna’s exhaustion into consideration.
In chapter 262 of Jujutsu Kaisen, the narrator reveals that Sukuna eliminated the 99 second time limit of his previous Binding Vow by limiting the effective range of Malevolent Shrine. This new range was limited to the outline of Yuta’s Domain, allowing Sukuna to focus his attacks specifically on the Barrier of Yuta’s Domain instead of wasting energy on unnecessary space.
The narrator stressed the time limit of three minutes for each participant. Yuta strategized to inflict enough damage on Sukuna within this time frame to prevent him from utilizing Malevolent Shrine. In contrast, Sukuna boasted that he could defeat Unlimited Void in less than three minutes. He then focused on increasing his range of attack and ultimately wiping out all opponents with the power of Malevolent Shrine.
In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262, Sukuna charged towards Yuta and landed a punch, successfully bypassing Gojo’s Infinity with the help of Domain Amplification. He activated this technique alongside Domain Expansion, just as he had done when he first tried it against Gojo. However, the others were unaware of this since it occurred within a Domain that Mei Mei’s crows were unable to enter.
The scene unfolded as water began to hit the ground, Rika’s tears revealing her full manifestation. She cradled Yuta’s lifeless body in her arms, crying and calling out his name. The chapter came to a close with a closeup of Yuta’s still and lifeless eyes.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 262: In Summation
Despite being a short chapter, chapter 262 has many exciting developments. It appears that the long-awaited battle against Sukuna is nearing its end, as both Sukuna and Yuta seem determined to end it once and for all. Additionally, the chapter hints at Rika playing a significant role in the upcoming events, as she has fully manifested. However, fans will have to wait at least two weeks to find out more, as Akutami needs some time to rest before continuing the story.
