The most powerful villain of Jujutsu Kaisen, Ryomen Sukuna, has been feared around the world for a thousand years. During the golden age of exorcism, the Heian era, exorcists mustered all their might to defeat the King of Plagues.
And despite the formidable fighters, the big villain was not killed: it was only possible to seal him, in his twenty cut and separated fingers. Each of the members contains a fraction of his powers, and it was only when Yuji Itadori swallowed one that the king of plagues was able to set foot again in the human world, thanks to the young man’s body.
Sukuna is the main antagonist of the series, and the manga is currently in the final battle between the exorcists and him. But even now, Jujutsu Kaisen has retained the mystery surrounding his innate technique, with author Gege Akutami having fun deliberately censoring the rare times the character says his name.

For a long time, Jujutsu Kaisen simply showed the villain slicing and dicing his opponents. Even in its extended territory, it prefers to cut its victims into pieces.
Except that during the Shibuya Drama arc, the King of Plagues took fans by surprise by deploying a devastating fire technique. Just before launching his flaming arrow – and then defeating Jogo without straining too much – Sukuna pronounces words censored in the manga as in the anime, before adding “Opening” .

On a dedicated thread on Reddit, a user speculated that Ryomen Sukuna could manipulate the elements: fire therefore, but others as well.
Because if it is not always as visible in the anime, certain panels of the manga allow us to glimpse Sukuna’s fingers from time to time, before they are swallowed. And more specifically their ends reminiscent of elements such as ice, rock, plants…
The ability to use fire stems from his true innate technique, so the King of Blights could have access to other surprising elements. And even if Gege Akutami has still not given a clear answer on this subject, the final fight that the character is leading should finally shed light on it.
Especially since in chapter 251, Yuta Okkotsu explains that he swallowed one of the villain’s fingers, giving him the opportunity to take ownership of the laceration. Perhaps Yuta, who is a prodigy among exorcists, will discover the very essence of Ryomen Sukuna’s power for himself in Jujutsu Kaisen.
