KATSEYE is gaining notoriety for using profanity during their live stream, unaware that their fans were able to hear them.
On June 29, a post titled “Bang Sihyuk’s new girl group refreshingly swearing without realizing the live had already started”was shared on Instiz, a highly popular online community forum in South Korea.
The post contained a tweet from the original author showcasing a video of the situation.
As the girls prepare for their live stream, the person behind the camera, most likely Sophia, who is out of frame and their leader, instructs them to “be themselves”. Following this, Daniela and Manon begin cursing, repeatedly using words such as “f*ck,””sh*t,”and “b*tch.”

Some also mentioned that foreigners may not be as affected by swear words, so the group is unlikely to receive any backlash for the incident.
Despite the common perception that Korean celebrities who curse are viewed as immature and disrespectful, the situation took a different turn when KATSEYE, a global girl group with diverse members, caused people to find the incident amusing instead.
