Kim Jaejoong: The Top Choice for Japanese Women in Dramas, with Seo In-guk Following Close Behind

In April 2024, the Japanese survey site “Netorabo”surveyed women in their 30s in Japan about their preferences for Korean actors to star in Japanese dramas. The findings revealed that Kim Jaejoong was ranked first and Seo In-guk was ranked second.

Despite being part of the group “TVXQ”, Kim Jaejoong gained significant popularity in Japan. He successfully ventured into acting, taking on roles in films such as “Heaven’s Postman”and dramas like MBC’s “Triangle”and “Dr. Jin”. His debut in a Japanese drama, “Sunao ni Narenakute”, further solidified his fame in the local industry. Moreover, his OST “Rokutousei”for the popular Japanese drama “Wicked Woman”, in collaboration with singer Kim Junsu, also garnered much attention and made headlines in Japan.

Seo In-guk first entered the entertainment industry as a singer, making his debut after winning the first season of Mnet’s “Superstar K”. In the survey, actors Jung Yunho, Jung Yonghwa, Yook Sungjae, Junho (2PM), Park Yoochun, Park Si-hoo, Park Seo-joon, and Cha Eun-woo, who also received a significant number of votes, followed Kim Jaejoong and Seo In-guk.

At the same time, it has been reported that Kim Jaejoong has generated a significant amount of income from his fame in Japan, resulting in his ownership of a building worth 12 billion won in Shibuya, Japan.
