On June 17th, CUBE Entertainment made an announcement on (G)I-DLE’s Weverse channel, seeking supporters for broadcast and fanclub activities. However, fans were quick to criticize the agency for recruiting volunteers without mentioning any form of compensation.
CUBE quickly made a correction to the announcement by including a new category named “Offline fan supporter activity benefit”.
The correction announcement circulated on several online communities, such as theqoo. As a result, netizens shared their comments:
– Advantage: Experiencing positive emotions
Why are they not promoting the advantages?
Regarding the agency I am familiar with, fan supporters are offered benefits such as access to pre-recorded broadcasts and the opportunity to receive autographs without having to apply for fansigning events. However, if these benefits are made public, it may lead to criticism once again. It is uncommon for agencies to actively recruit supporters in the present times.
Compensate them if you wish to hire them
– Isn’t the entrance pass to concerts and broadcasts considered a benefit? Why do they feel the need to keep it confidential?
