Recent leaks regarding Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 have unveiled exciting news for fans: the game is set to include three classic maps from the beloved Black Ops 2 at launch. This revelation comes after numerous rumors circulated prior to the formal announcement of Black Ops 7, hinting that the game might feature all maps from the previous installment, much like the way Modern Warfare 3 (2023) debuted with every map from the original MW2.

However, it was clarified on the official BO7 website that players could anticipate “a signature Multiplayer experience packed with brand-new maps, ” indicating that the game will not rely solely on remastered content at the outset. Despite this clarification, a new leak suggests that we can indeed look forward to seeing some of the most cherished maps from Black Ops 2 in the upcoming release.

Expect Iconic Black Ops 2 Maps in BO7

According to renowned leaker TheGhostOfHope, who has a track record of accurately disseminating Call of Duty news, Black Ops 7 will include the following remastered maps:

  • Raid
  • Express
  • Hijacked

Among these, Raid is frequently hailed as one of the finest maps in the franchise, set against the backdrop of an opulent mansion situated in the Hollywood Hills. It made a return in Black Ops Cold War, though without the distinctive futuristic theme that fans can expect in BO7.

Express is also notable, designed around a railway station and featuring a fully navigable train at its center. This fan-favorite debuted in 2012 and was later reintroduced in BOCW.

Another highly regarded map, Hijacked, thrusts players into a fierce battle aboard a luxurious yacht afloat in the ocean. Over time, it has been a recurring element in various game formats; it appeared in both Black Ops Cold War and Blackout mode in BO4. Additionally, it was remade as Skyjacked in BO3, transforming the yacht into a futuristic airship.

At this moment, leaks imply that these three maps could be the sole representatives from Black Ops 2 available at launch for Black Ops 7. However, the possibility of other maps being introduced through seasonal updates remains open.

Fans will soon have an opportunity to gain more insight into what Black Ops 7 has to offer during the Gamescom Opening Night on August 19, where a detailed preview is expected.
