“It’s already here, ” McConaughey stated, addressing Chalamet directly.“Don’t deny it. Simply appealing to ethics isn’t enough anymore. There’s a lot of money at stake, and the technology’s productivity is undeniable.”

He further advised, “Own yourself — that includes your voice and likeness. Trademark it. Take the necessary legal precautions, so when the time comes, no one can exploit your identity.”

McConaughey illustrated his point by warning that failing to secure legal rights could lead to scenarios where individuals are approached to participate in events despite their absence. He said, “Imagine being asked, ‘Timothée, can you appear virtually at my birthday party in five months?’ They could use technology to recreate your character, but they must get your permission first.”
