On May 10th, in an official press release, Sejong Law Firm, legal representatives of Min Hee-jin, expressed their concerns about the potential illegal audit of ADOR employees by HYBE last night and the potential distortion of content.
“Earlier this morning, before ADOR’s scheduled board meeting later today, an unfortunate incident took place. Specifically, ADOR employees were subjected to an illegal audit due to an unreasonable concern raised by HYBE’s audit team.”
At approximately 7 p.m. on May 9th, after business hours, HYBE conducted an audit on the leader of ADOR’s style directing team as per their position. The audit continued for over five hours until the morning of May 10th, during which HYBE’s audit staff accompanied the ADOR employee to their residence and requested the handover of their personal laptop and phone not belonging to the company.
It has been reported that the audit team of HYBE even went so far as to threaten an employee from ADOR.
At the same time, there is a conflict between HYBE and ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin, as HYBE suspects her of trying to gain control of the label’s management rights.
The board of directors at ADOR has scheduled a meeting in Seoul on May 10th. CEO Min Hee-jin, VP Shin, creative director Kim, and all other members of the ADOR board will be in attendance. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the organization of a shareholders’ meeting.
