On June 8th, the agency ADOR announced that NewJeans’ double single “How Sweet”, which was released on May 24th, had sold a combined total of 1,085,355 copies (including both the standard and Weverse versions) as reported on Circle Chart’s May album chart. This achievement marks the fourth consecutive album released by NewJeans since their debut in July 2022 to reach million-seller status.
Their previous projects, such as their first album “New Jeans”and their single album “OMG”, have individually achieved sales of over 1.59 million and 1.66 million copies. A noteworthy accomplishment is their second EP “Get Up”, which became NewJeans’ first album to sell over two million copies, with a total of 2.14 million.
The digital performance of NewJeans remains equally impressive. Their title track “How Sweet” and “Bubble Gum” have consistently held top positions on major domestic music charts such as Melon, Genie, and Bugs.
Furthermore, “How Sweet”maintained its position on the Spotify “Weekly Top Songs Global”chart, coming in at number 119 for the second week in a row during the tracking period of May 31st to June 6th. The song also continued to make waves on the latest Billboard charts, securing the 7th spot on the “Global Excl. US”chart, 12th on the “Bubbling Under Hot 100″chart, and 15th on the “Global 200″chart during the week of June 8th.
On June 9th, NewJeans will make an appearance on KBS 2TV’s “2 Days & 1 Night”show.
