The first episode of Oblivion Battery is expected to introduce viewers to the main characters and provide an explanation of the series’ plot. Despite their success in the Senior League, the story of Haruka Kiyomine and Kei Kaname, a talented pitcher and catcher, takes a heartbreaking turn when Kei loses his memory. As a result, the two disappear from the baseball world, leaving behind a legacy of retired players.

After some time, the two boys enter Kotesashi High, a school that does not have a baseball team. To their amazement, they discover that the retired players from their former team have also transferred to this school. This leads to Haruka Kiyomine and Kei Kaname teaming up with them to form a new baseball team.

The ONA only presented Tarou Yamada’s viewpoint, leaving room for the upcoming anime to possibly delve into the backgrounds of Haruka and Kei. This could potentially provide an explanation for Kei’s memory loss. Furthermore, viewers can anticipate the introduction of supporting characters in the upcoming anime episode.
