Oda Designed a Special Tattoo for This ‘One Piece’ Live-Action Cast Member

Despite his immense popularity among fans, Eiichiro Oda remains an elusive figure who rarely makes public appearances. The mysterious mangaka has garnered a God-like status, yet very little is known about him.

Nevertheless, readers were overjoyed upon witnessing the new stars’ excitement over their encounters with Oda sensei, which was heartwarming. Additionally, the mangaka even created a tattoo for one of the cast members. Keep reading to discover who we are referring to.

Oda Creates a New One-Piece Inspired Tattoo for Taz Skylar

During his interview with Serieously, Taz proudly unveiled his latest tattoo, which was created by the talented Oda sensei. Although not a trained tattoo artist, Oda has gained recognition for his iconic designs, which have been sported by characters such as Ace, Nami, and Law.

Skylar confided in us that he had always desired a One-Piece-inspired tattoo but was unsure of how to proceed. Taz then suggested seeking assistance from our beloved mangaka, and to our delight, Oda graciously agreed to fulfill his request.

“During our dinner with Oda in Japan, I finally had the opportunity to get the One Piece tattoo I had been wanting for a while. With so many options to choose from, I struggled to decide on the perfect design. I asked Oda if he could create a custom design for us to get tattooed. We received our tattoos upon returning from Japan.”

Taz explained that each symbol in the tattoo represents a letter, and when put together, they spell out ‘One Piece’. It’s pretty awesome when you think about it, don’t you think?

2. Skylar’s Black Belt Moment

Taz Skylar’s commitment to his character has garnered him a great deal of adoration from his followers. He even went as far as to study martial arts for his role in One Piece.

His goal was to obtain his black belt prior to the series’ launch. And he achieved it, with Taz getting his black belt autographed by Oda on the exact day of release.

The ‘Eiji Aonuma’ Confusion!

The interview with Taz Skylar followed a roulette format in which he was asked to discuss a randomly selected member. Upon closer observation, fans noticed that the channel mistakenly used a picture of ‘Eiji Aonuma’ instead of Oda.

This resulted in a string of memes and jokes, while some supporters appeared to take offense at this so-called “incident.”

4. Did Oda design tattoos for other cast members?

During the interview, Taz revealed that Oda had created tattoos for “each member”of the crew. This statement has caused excitement among fans as it suggests that Oda individually designed tattoos for every crew member.

Despite Skylar getting a tattoo, it remains unclear whether or not the other crew members also got inked and what their chosen designs were. As a result, fans are now eagerly anticipating the reveal of these designs and hopefully they will be unveiled soon.
