Traditionally, “teaming” in Fortnite is against the rules and can lead to penalties, as it involves players cooperating in ways the game does not intend, such as sharing loot or avoiding conflict to gain an unfair advantage.

Gameplay Mechanics of “Delulu”

Picture this mode as an expanded version of the Zero Build format, accommodating up to 80 players. Participants can join solo or team up with friends, but there is an intriguing twist.

With proximity chat implemented, players can engage in conversations with others in their vicinity, which opens the door for negotiation and potential alliances. This unique mechanic may also lead to unexpected betrayals, as players can switch loyalties at any moment.

How to Prepare for the “Delulu” LTM

To join this mode, you must enable the Voice Chat feature. Here’s how:

Open the Compete Tab.
Adjust your Voice Chat setting to “Everybody.”

The official launch of this LTM is set for September 19, 2025, although select creators can access it a day earlier on September 18, 2025. While proximity chat has been featured in Creative modes and UEFN islands before, “Delulu” marks its first appearance in a traditional Battle Royale setting.
