A new Final Fantasy VII Rebirth trailer has been released, and fans think they’ve spotted a returning Final Fantasy character VII Remake.
While Final Fantasy VII Remake was set in the Midgar section of the original game, it also added new characters and canonized people from the spin-offs, including those from the novels.
One of the new characters introduced in Final Fantasy VII Remake was Roche, a member of SOLDIER and rival of Cloud. Roche appeared in new sections of the game, where Cloud and the AVALANCHE members were infiltrating a Shinra warehouse.
Roche and Cloud had an epic duel, resulting in Cloud winning and Roche fleeing on his motorcycle. He thus disappears from the story, although he appears in Yuffie’s story in the INTERmission DLC as an opponent in the Fort Condor mini-game.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is about to be released, and Square Enix is stepping up promotion of the game. A new trailer titled “Destined for Rebirth” was recently released. So fans on the FFVII Remake Reddit think they spotted a familiar face in Juno’s parade scene.
“I had a feeling Roche was going to be a recurring character and I’m excited to see him in a trailer. He really embodies the idea that you have to be a little disturbed to be a SOLDIER,” one user wrote. Another said: “WE’RE BACK!!! so happy they’re doing something more with this character.”
