Pokémon Go players were stunned by a trainer’s wild encounter with a shiny Drattak that appeared raid-ready.
Rare Pokémon and awesome captures are nothing new to Pokémon Go. Seven years after its launch, trainers have pretty much seen it all at this point.
Despite this, a recently shared capture managed to amaze players, with the Reddit post describing it as “The craziest wild encounter I’ve ever seen.”
Admitting they “couldn’t believe it,” the post reveals the wild encounter of a shiny Drattak with 3,066 Combat Power and near-perfect IVs.

The 3-star Drattak impressed the other players, with one expressing: “Damn, I don’t believe it either. I’ve never seen a savage with such a high CP that I can think of,” and another comment even going so far as to admit, “I think I just passed out.”
Another user replied: “I’ve never had my random wild above 2200 and this guy got a SHINY at 3000. This is crazy to me but I’m just a lowly level 31.”
Highlighting how valuable this Drattak is, one comment insisted: “If I had a Master Ball, I would have 100% used it on this one,” believing that the Shiny Dragon was worthy of the rarest Poké Ball from Pokémon Go.
Drattak is one of the strongest Dragon-type attackers in Pokémon Go, so this encounter is special. However, it’s not quite the strongest of them all, with Mega Rayquaza holding that title.
