Pokémon Go players are afraid they’ll never see this feature

Pokémon Go fans are concerned that a highly anticipated PokéStop Trials feature will never make its way to the game mobile.

Developer Niantic announced that the PokéStop Trials feature will be integrated into Pokémon Go in July 2023.

Since then, PokéStop Trials have been regularly launched as part of various events, with each event focusing on different monsters as stars.

However, there is a feature related to PokéStop Trials that has not yet been fully integrated into Pokémon Go, and fans are worried that it will be abandoned altogether.

Pokémon Go fan confusion over missing Trial feature

A post on the TheSilphRoad subreddit titled, “So when will we have XXS events? Never? “sparked a discussion among fans after they brought up the missing feature.

So when are we getting XXS showcases? Never? byu/livesoverproperty inTheSilphRoad

The original poster asked: “What is the point of throwing out size measurements, showing notifications saying ‘it’s very small’ and XXS when you go to the assessment, etc., when every test for month is only XXL?”

While the trainer assumed that Niantic simply hadn’t scheduled the XXS Trials yet, others had different opinions.

Some fans still believed that the feature would arrive and that it was only a matter of time. “Presumably one day they’ll add ‘Smaller Pokémon’ events, but it seems like they don’t want to take that opportunity yet,” one player said.

Others agreed that the feature might never launch. “Probably never. There was some dialogue in Matteo’s Special Research that suggests he’s going to do something with the little Pokémon…,” one Reddit user said.

However, it may be too little too late, as many fans have already started getting rid of their XXS Pokémon. It’s still unclear when exactly Niantic plans to introduce XXS Trials, but it seems clear that fans are eager to see more variety.
