As Pokémon Go ‘s Time Travel season nears its conclusion, several trainers have pointed out a worrying trend they’ve observed for many months now.
The Time Travel season in Pokémon Go proved to be an exciting spectacle as it introduced several new Pokémon from the Hisui region, welcomed powerful Legendaries to Raids, and also introduced a GO Battle League difficult.
While all of this was being celebrated by the community, several fans made a rather interesting observation during Time Travel, which seems to have happened in previous seasons as well.
Pokémon Go spawns get worse with each season according to one player
It all started when a Reddit user named ‘Constant_Mulberry_23’ posted a message with the caption: “Am I crazy or are the season appearances getting worse and worse as the season goes on?”and added: “The first week I found much better mons. Now it’s 90% of that waste.”

This post led to comments from several Pokémon Go players who could relate to the original poster’s observation, writing: “Nah, you’re not crazy. Really lousy appearances” and “Yeah, that seems a little low-end.”
Others added: “Having picked up in July last year, this is something I noticed that really kills the game for me in the second half of the season” as well as “They become more tragic at every season. It’s even more insulting when you use the daily adventure incense only to see more appearances of the same shit.”
One player detailed how appearances deteriorate as the season progresses. “It happens every time. At the start of the season, rare Pokémon like Dragons, Terhal, Embrylex and others appear more. Also, second and third stage evolution Pokémon appear. But after a while, all the apparitions are Zigzaton, Morphéo like in your photo,” they explained.
As one trainer stated, “This game is getting worse and worse,” another pointed out that the same thing is happening with events as well:
“It’s the same with events, on the first day 99% of spawns are event spawns with the exception of nests. But as the event goes on, they seem to add more and more average spawns into the spawn pool making it harder and harder to grind the event,” they said.
