With the recent launch of version 1.0 for Escape from Tarkov, players can explore a significantly enhanced Interchange map. This major update introduces various features, including the elimination of the Hole in the Fence and the addition of the Smuggler’s Tunnel extraction points, enriching the gameplay experience.

If you’re planning to traverse the Interchange map, being aware of the Smuggler’s Tunnel is crucial. Let’s provide you with a detailed guide on how to locate this extraction point effectively within the game.

The Smuggler’s Tunnel extraction is situated within the newly expanded areas of the Interchange map. To use this extraction point, you will need a Green Flare, analogous to those required at Klimov Street in the Streets of Tarkov or any other green flare extraction locations.

To navigate effectively, exit the mall towards the side of the Scav Camp (known for Co-op extractions) and the Railway Exfil. Refer to the map above for guidance.

As you venture outside, make your way towards the forest where you’ll encounter train tracks. Follow these tracks heading east to the Railway Exfil, then turn back and head in the opposite direction towards the Customs transit point. You’ll spot numerous freight containers and trains along the way.

Continuing on this path will bring you to a sizable camp, which is abundant in loot but also populated by Scavs, making it a potential hotspot for intense encounters given the valuable loot available.

At the northeast corner of the camp, a checkpoint will lead you further. Use the blue freight container marked with a red star as your reference point. Upon reaching the checkpoint, look for the indication “Signal Flare, ”which signals the need for your flare. Once you’ve fired the green flare, proceed towards the extraction point to complete your journey.
