Randy Havens, who portrayed Mr. Clarke in the widely acclaimed series *Stranger Things*, has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding the show’s conclusion. He recently apologized to fans who embraced the “conspiracy theories, ”firmly stating that there is no additional episode in the works.
The rumors began circulating after the airing of Episode 8, titled “The Rightside Up, ”suggesting that the series may not have concluded, and that the final moments of the episode could be a fabrication orchestrated by the antagonist Vecna.
This speculation was fueled further by a theory dubbed ‘Conformity Gate, ’ which claimed a secret final episode would air on January 7, 2026. However, that date passed without any new content, leaving fans disappointed.
Randy Havens Confirms the Series’ Conclusion

In a timely message posted on Threads, Havens commemorated the release of a drawing by artist Matt Taylor featuring Mr. Clarke, which was included in the closing credits. Taking this opportunity, he also put to rest the fan theories that have been making waves online.
“What an amazing moment seeing MY FACE in the closing credits of the *Stranger Things* finale on the big screen!” he expressed in his post. He continued, “I truly had no idea that they were gonna give Mr. Clarke one final shout-out. Thank you @matttaylordraws for your absolutely amazing work on the closing credits DnD manual!”
Concluding his message, Havens stated, “Yes, it’s the actual finale. I’m sorry to all the conspiracy theorists, but that’s actually and truly the end of *Stranger Things*.”

Havens wasn’t the only cast member to counter these theories. Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Vecna, also dispelled the rumors during an appearance on *The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon*, asserting that Episode 8 represents “the ending the show deserves.”
Moreover, Netflix took a more humorous approach to the speculation, updating their Twitter and Instagram bios to read: “ALL EPISODES OF STRANGER THINGS ARE NOW PLAYING.” This serves as a reminder that the beloved series has reached its conclusion.
