PC gamers who are part of the Xbox Insider Program’s Gaming Preview can now take advantage of an exciting new feature: the ability to stream select console games directly from the cloud, expanding beyond just the Game Pass library.
This innovative capability is available to members of Game Pass Ultimate in the 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming operates. It employs the user-friendly ‘Stream your own game’ system that was rolled out earlier this year, seamlessly supporting devices such as Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, smart TVs, Meta Quest headsets, and browsers.
Introducing Cloud Gaming for Personal Libraries
To make use of this feature, users need to launch the Xbox PC app, navigate to the Cloud Gaming section, and explore the new ‘Stream your own game’ catalog. This functionality allows players to immediately access and enjoy any compatible game they already own, totaling over 250 games at launch, including some not available in the Game Pass library.
Titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, alongside indie favorites like Balatro and Date Everything, are included in this initiative, demonstrating the diversity of the game library.

While this feature boasts a substantial library, it is important to note that not every title is compatible. Games that depend on Kinect technology or are subject to licensing restrictions might not be available for streaming. Nevertheless, Xbox has assured users that more titles will be added in the future, including Xbox Play Anywhere options as well as additional console-exclusive games.
This development follows a recent update to the Xbox PC app, enhancing access to games installed via other platforms like Steam, BattleNet, and the Epic Games Store. Notably, this announcement came shortly after Microsoft unveiled an upcoming handheld Xbox device along with a revamped software experience aimed at positioning it as a competitor to the Steam Deck.
