The Top Girl Group for June: IVE Surpasses aespa and ILLIT in Brand Reputation Rankings

During the period of May 9 to June 9, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute conducted an analysis on 50,557,557 pieces of brand big data to evaluate the reputation of girl groups. The analysis took into account various factors such as participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to the previous month’s data collection of 66,272,139 pieces, there was a decrease of 23.71%.

Despite a 30.49% decrease from their May brand reputation index of 8,326,214, IVE (members Ahn Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) still managed to secure first place with a participation index of 633,132, media index of 951,748, communication index of 1,666,609, and community index of 2,536,342, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,787,831.

The brand reputation index for aespa (consisting of members Karina, Winter, Giselle, and NingNing) was 5,409,956, ranking them second overall. This was calculated based on their participation index of 300,084, media index of 832,267, communication index of 1,806,572, and community index of 2,471,032. This marks a significant increase of 71.17% from their previous brand reputation index of 3,160,522 in May.

Despite a decrease of 35.68% from their May brand reputation index of 5,877,206, ILLIT (members Yuna, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Ririka) still managed to secure third place with a participation index of 364,072, media index of 864,873, communication index of 1,301,865, and community index of 1,249,239, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,780,049.

Despite a 46.98% decrease from their May brand reputation index of 4,869,835, (G)I-DLE’s members Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua still ranked fourth with a participation index of 65,824, media index of 573,166, communication index of 887,078, and community index of 1,056,133, resulting in a current brand reputation index of 2,582,202.

The group LE SSERAFIM (consisting of Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae) achieved a fifth-place ranking with a participation index of 202,912, media index of 580,325, communication index of 435,655, and community index of 1,206,092, resulting in a brand reputation index of 2,424,984. This marks a decrease of 42.87% compared to their brand reputation index of 4,244,658 in May.

According to Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, IVE was ranked first in the June 2024 analysis of brand big data. In comparison to the previous month, there was a decrease of 23.71% in girl group brand big data. A detailed analysis revealed a 32.13% decline in brand consumption, a 25.90% decrease in brand issues, a 20.33% decrease in brand communication, and a 22.90% decrease in brand diffusion.

During the link and keyword analysis for the IVE brand, it was found that ‘happy,’ ‘growth,’ and ‘healthy’ were prominent, while ‘world tour,’ ‘YouTube,’ and ‘presidential’ were significant. The positive-to-negative ratio for the IVE brand was determined to be 90.86% positive.
