@Novalise1, an X user, created a fanart of Rika in her human form embracing Yuta’s motionless body while he battles Sukuna in Gojo’s. The original panel was almost identical, except Rika was depicted as a Curse and crying. This caused speculation that Yuta had perished in his fight against Sukuna.
Although it is worth noting that Gege Akutami is unlikely to remove Yuta from the story without showing it onscreen, as he is currently inhabiting Gojo’s body and such a development would demand significant attention. Nevertheless, the fandom continues to have strong reactions to the possibility.
