Top Warzone Expert Unveils the Best Ranked Rifle for Gameplay Performance

Warzone offers an expansive arsenal of over 30 assault rifles, featuring iconic weapons from titles such as Modern Warfare 2, MW3, and Black Ops 6. However, one rifle consistently outperforms the rest: the XM4.

With the recent introduction of Warzone Ranked Play in Black Ops 6, the XM4 has solidified its position at the pinnacle of the long-range meta. Season 1 saw the unveiling of the Buffer Weight Stock, which significantly enhanced the rifle’s performance in distant gunfights, notably due to substantial accuracy improvements.

Moreover, a mid-season update by Raven Software further increased the XM4’s bullet velocity from 750 meters per second to an impressive 800 meters per second, effectively reducing bullet drop-off and enhancing its lethality.

Given these formidable characteristics, it’s no surprise that the XM4 boasts a staggering pick rate of 19.44 percent according to WZ Ranked. However, merely wielding this top-tier weapon isn’t enough; players must equip it with the optimal loadout to maximize its potential in Ranked Play.

According to insights from TrueGameData, the following attachments constitute the best XM4 loadout:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Optic: Willis 3x
  • Barrel: Gain Twist Barrel
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Stock: Buffer Weight Stock
  • Magazine: Extended Mag III
  • Fire Mods: Overpressured Rounds

This loadout is meticulously designed to enhance the XM4’s accuracy. TrueGameData elaborated that the combination of overpressured rounds, which provides a +20 percent bullet velocity gain, and the Gain Twist barrel’s +40 percent bullet velocity enhancement results in an astonishing bullet velocity of 1344 meters per second. This makes hitting targets at long distances, including aerial enemies, feel nearly instantaneous—akin to hitscan performance at mid-range.

Additionally, the Willis Optic contributes by reducing gun kick by 30 percent, while the Compensator improves vertical recoil by 35 percent and also diminishes gun kick by 31 percent. These enhancements synergize beautifully with the Buffer Weight Stock’s substantial recoil mitigation, transforming the XM4 into a precise “laser beam” capable of dominating engagements across various ranges.

With a hitscan range of 67.2 meters alongside its remarkable bullet velocity, the XM4 is user-friendly, ensuring that both seasoned players and newcomers can wield it effectively.
