Ubisoft’s XDefiant features a variety of factions, including Cleaners, Phantoms, Libertad, Echelon, and DedSec. Each faction draws inspiration from a different Ubisoft series and offers three distinct characters. While players can start with a representative from any faction, unlocking the others will require completing specific tasks.

They strongly oppose the implementation of the Central Operating System (CtOS) and are determined to expose its vulnerabilities and deficiencies by infiltrating its systems.
