Disney Dreamlight Valley, with its frequent updates and two downloadable content (DLC) packs, continuously introduces beloved characters from the Disney universe. Notable additions include the likes of Peter Pan, Flynn Ryder, Alice, and Merida, ensuring that players have an ever-evolving adventure. Yet, these characters do not simply appear in the valley; they must be earned through a series of challenging quests, cooking adventures, gem mining, and solving intricate puzzles. This is particularly true for Maleficent, who has been anticipated since the arrival of the Storybook Vale expansion. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to unlock her.
Steps to Unlock Maleficent
1. Progress Through the Main Storyline of Storybook Vale
Your journey begins with the overarching narrative of Storybook Vale, focused on persuading Hades and Maleficent to reconsider their antagonistic ways. While assisting Hades is relatively straightforward, conversing with Maleficent necessitates a trek to her castle.
To reach her, players must first complete the main quest associated with the update. If you have already finished this aspect of the storyline, feel free to move on to the next set of instructions.
2. Enter the Unwritten Realms
Once you’ve navigated through a Storm of Stories, you will be in a position to consult the Lorekeeper. They will guide you to craft a page that reveals Maleficent’s whereabouts.
According to the Lorekeeper, she resides within the Unwritten Realms. To gain access, players must complete a puzzle reminiscent of the earlier quests involving the Net. Here’s the trick: manipulate the available levers until you successfully create Maleficent’s face. Remember, she should be facing you upon completing the puzzle. Upon completion, interact with the large page to proceed into the realm and locate Maleficent.
3. Recover Maleficent’s Ripped Ticket
Upon ascending the stairs, you’ll encounter Maleficent, who appears to be struggling with feather quills. Engage with her to gain insight into the situation.
Instead of enduring an endless waiting period, you can adjust numbers on a puzzle to discover the key sequence corresponding to Maleficent’s location. Look for the pieces at these locations:
- To the far left of the waiting room.
- Near an orange lamp, opposite the first piece.
- Behind the feather quill.
Once collected, arrange them in your inventory and input the numbers: 9375. Next, return to the Quill, who will guide you to the Processing Room.
4. Solve Maleficent’s First Anchor Moment
This particular puzzle can be quite challenging.
