In the expansive world of StarRupture, efficient navigation is essential for fully immersing yourself in the gameplay. Initially, players do not have access to the map, making it crucial to unlock this feature early on to explore the game’s vast terrain without feeling disoriented.

Here’s a comprehensive guide on unlocking the map in StarRupture and using the accompanying Geo Scanners effectively.

To reveal the map, you can press the ” M” key, which opens the map HUD. However, remember that this feature only becomes available once you have completed the necessary steps to unlock the map.

Unlocking the map requires you to reach level 3 in the Moon Energy Corporation, which you can access via the Corporate Terminal.

To progress from level 1 to level 2, utilize an Orbital Cargo Launcher set to the Moon Energy Corporation. For this transition, an input of Wolfram Bar is needed. While advancing levels, it’s a good strategy to gather Meteorite Hearts and search for Calcium nodes.

When you locate a Calcium node, be sure to deploy another Base Core to facilitate the placement of Ore Excavators. To initiate mining, the Ore Excavator at a Calcium node must be linked to an Orbital Cargo Launcher and provided with necessary power.

To advance from level 2 to level 3 within the Moon Energy Corporation, focus on collecting Calcium Ores. Prepare for this in advance, as the availability of Calcium can vary significantly based on your starting location.

Upon reaching level 3, visit the Corporate Terminal to claim your reward. With the map now unlocked, you can conveniently press M to access it anytime.

Unlocking Geo Scanners in StarRupture

In addition to the map, players can discover Geo Scanners throughout the game. These devices function as radar scanners that can map the surrounding area. Keep in mind that activating a Geo Scanner requires a brief scanning period during which you will likely encounter enemies; thus, prepare for combat during this time.

Once the scanning process is complete, it not only maps the area but also rewards you with valuable resources, including combat levels and LEM slots.
