The international VCT tournament locations were announced early by Riot Games’ Indonesian Instagram account through a video post.
The video disclosed that Bangkok, Thailand and Toronto, Canada will host the two VCT Masters tournaments in 2025. Paris, France will host the finale of the Valorant Champions competitive season.
The first Masters event of the year will take place in Bangkok, followed by the second event in Toronto. The video also unveiled the 2025 Valorant esports competitive calendar, highlighting the modifications Riot will implement for the upcoming year of VCT.

Similar to the previous year, the 2025 season will commence with a Kickoff tournament, where all teams from each VCT International league will compete for a chance to qualify for Masters Bangkok. The format of the tournament will be a double elimination bracket, and the top two teams will secure a spot in the major tournament.
Stage 1 of the VCT league season will determine which teams qualify for Masters Toronto. Stage 2 of the VCT leagues will take place after the international tournament.
Despite the major change from the 2024 format, teams’ records from Stage 1 will not carry over into Stage 2. This means that in order to have a shot at Champions, teams will need to maintain consistency throughout the entire year.
The teams will compete in the Stage 2 playoffs for a chance to secure spots in the world championships in France.
This marks the second instance of Valorant Champions being held in Europe, following the region’s hosting of the inaugural world championship in 2021.
At the time of writing, Riot Games has not yet made an official announcement for its 2025 Valorant esports season on all of its social media platforms. It is anticipated that the developer will unveil this announcement, along with other information, before the final match of Valorant Champions 2024.
