Known to some as a popular singer on TikTok, Paul Russel has also gained recognition as a reality TV personality from his appearance on Netflix’s The Circle.
If you were active on TikTok in 2023, it’s highly likely that you’ve heard a Paul Russell song. His rise to fame began with his debut single ‘Lil Boo Thang’, which gained viral popularity on the platform and propelled him into the world of music stardom.
Even if you don’t use TikTok, you may still be familiar with Paul if you’re a fan of reality TV. Allow us to clarify: Caress, a contestant on Season 6 of The Circle US, is posing as the infamous Paul Russell and deceiving her fellow competitors.
Interestingly, Caress is in fact Paul’s older sister in real life, as confirmed by a family Christmas photo that she shared on her social media. Despite this, Paul still jokingly referenced the situation when he posted his reaction on Instagram.
The singer stated in a text overlay that she turned on Netflix solely to see her struggle on my behalf.
Despite appearing in the first four episodes of the season, none of the other contestants were able to identify Caress from his profile picture, thus he remains in the clear for now.
Will she be able to maintain the facade or will one of her fellow co-stars discover her true identity? Regardless, this unexpected combination of reality TV and music is something we never knew we wanted.
