Recent reports suggest that Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, might be making her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the upcoming series, Vision Quest. This intriguing development follows her brief cameo in Agatha All Along.

To summarize her journey: in WandaVision, Wanda used her powers to magically conceive twins, William (Wiccan) and Tommy (Speed). However, these children were erased from existence when Wanda lifted the spell over Westview. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she attempted to reunite with her children through the multiverse, using the Darkhold—a formidable book filled with ancient spells. Ultimately, she appeared to sacrifice herself to destroy the Darkhold, leading to her last on-screen moment beneath Mount Wundagore.

Fans have been buzzing about Wanda’s potential inclusion in major upcoming films such as Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars. However, there is growing speculation that she may instead return in Vision Quest.

According to insider Daniel Richtman, the production team for Vision Quest is actively testing multiple endings for the series. This includes one that features Ghost Agatha and Billy, as well as another that may involve the return of Wanda herself.

The narrative of Vision Quest appears to align perfectly with Wanda’s storyline, especially considering her deep connections to the character of White Vision. The series is said to follow him as he journeys to Madripoor, in search of his memories and a sense of humanity. Given that he now possesses Wanda’s original memories, it would be natural for him to reflect on her.

Moreover, the conclusion of Agatha All Along left audiences with a sense of anticipation, featuring Billy and Agatha’s ghost embarking on a quest to locate his lost twin brother— a storyline that could lead them directly to Wanda.

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, recently commented on the ambiguity surrounding Wanda’s fate, stating, “So, all I can say is we are excited to discover when and how the Scarlet Witch can return.”This comes amidst numerous questions that have arisen since Wanda’s last appearance.

Earlier this year, Elizabeth Olsen hinted at her limited involvement with Doomsday, citing her focus on other projects filming in the U. S.However, she also expressed gratitude for her decade-long portrayal of Wanda, stating, “I feel very lucky that I’ve been able to play a character for over 10 years of my life, and I’d love to keep doing more.”

Regarding potential new directions for her character, Olsen remarked, “The animation thing feels like a parallel world. I don’t really know how it intersects with what we do. But I’ve really enjoyed getting to play her over the last 10 years.”
